Parent Portal
Dear Parent or Guardian,

With the implementation of Information Now, an upgraded product of STI and STI Home, we now have access to our Parent Portal so that you may view your child's/children's attendance, grades, homework assignments, discipline, and any special announcements regarding school functions.

Because this new system is internet based we are taking precautionary measures to insure that your child's/children's information is only given to the custodial parent or guardian. We will only give a username and password to this person. In certain circumstances there will have to be exceptions made and for that the custodial parent will have to give that permission in writing before another username and password is created.

We have created a form and placed it on our website along with other information regarding the Parent Portal and how to access information. You will no longer be required to remember lengthy usernames and passwords for multiple children in your family. You will have one username and one password and be able to view each of your children from one page.

For those of you who have a child/children at Opp High School, there will be a table set up at the Open House on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. for you to fill out the form there if you desire to do so.

While we have tried to make sure that all information is correct and that if your family has multiple children you will be able to view them on one page, we might have missed something. We will certainly be glad to correct any of this.

If you have questions regarding the Parent Portal or how to gain access please feel free to contact our office at 493-3173 and we will be happy to assist you.

Sincerely,
Michael D. Smithart
Superintendent
